Proper recognition and naming of weeds provides the key to all that is known about them, enabling us to discover what is known of their biology, toxicity to man or livestock and methods of control.
Such knowledge is of prime interest to those engaged in research, but is also of specific concern to farmers, graziers and home-gardeners and to those involved in industrial and roadside weed control.
