RENEWAL AND PRESERVATION As a young man, Dr Pfeiffer studied chemistry. In 1923 he made the Biodynamic preparations for the first time, under the direction of Rudolf Steiner. The first English edition of this title was published in 1947. As quoted by Dr Pfeiffer, he describes this book’s sole purpose "... It is a familiar truism that the farmer learns more through practical demonstrations than from any amount of writing because he is more convinced by what he sees than by what he reads".
